Remote Weddings...
		
Couples wanting to be married in North Sebago, Maine and residing elsewhere (in 
Maine or other states) may request information about “remote weddings.” Initial 
contact must be made with Reverend DanaBeth Wells-Goodwin to set the date and 
reserve the North Sebago United Methodist Church for a wedding. The couple must 
secure a Maine marriage license from any town office in Maine.
Pre-marital counseling may be done by your local clergy or through your local 
church where you live. Contact must be established with Rev. Wells-Goodwin to 
share essential information necessary to conduct the wedding (names, previous 
marriage history, any special needs for persons with handicapping conditions, 
any potential difficulties, etc)
A booklet of liturgical resources is available to assist couples in creating the 
wedding ceremony. The booklet will be mailed out with complete instructions and 
must be returned prior to the wedding.
The church sanctuary will be available, for a nominal user fee. The date and 
time must be scheduled by contacting Rev. Wells-Goodwin. Sanctuary will seat 
about 85 people. The attached Vestry will seat about 85 people also. Kitchen 
facilities are located on site and may be used, with permission for a nominal 
fee. Alcohol consumption and smoking are not allowed at the church.
Weddings may be preformed outside of the church building at the approval of Rev. 
Wells-Goodwin. Outdoor weddings need to reserve an alternative setting in case 
of inclement weather.

		Residential Weddings...
		
Initial contact must be made with Reverend DanaBeth Wells-Goodwin to set the date

Couples living in the Sebago area may be joined in marriage by Reverend 
Wells-Goodwin. A local Maine marriage license must be secured by the couple at 
the local town office. A minimum of three sessions pre-marital counseling is 
required and will be done by Rev. Wells-Goodwin.
A booklet of liturgical resources is available to assist couples in creating the 
wedding ceremony. The booklet will be offered for use at the conclusion of the 
first pre-marital session. complete instructions will be included and this 
booklet must be returned prior to the wedding.

will not have to pay any user fee for the use of the church and/vestry. This 
must be reserved, with the date and time by contacting Rev. Wells-Goodwin.
